OFFICIAL SHOWJUMPING DAY - SATURDAY 21ST FEBRUARY 2015
Have you pointed up to a level beyond your or your horse’s capability? Or perhaps you’ve decided you’ll leave it to the young ones these days?! Would you like to get back into showjumping at a lower level but don’t want to ride H/C or leave the comfort of HRCAV to do so? Then this event is for you! We’re running classes for HRCAV members to ride one level below their official level. Targeted at combinations who have pointed up but are unsuccessful or lacking confidence in their official level (no questions asked!) these classes will provide the same fun, competitive atmosphere as the official classes. You’ll be riding over the same courses, judged by the same judge and awarded the same prizes. Just indicate on the entry form your official level and the level you’re entering.
There are some simple rules to ensure fair play:
• You may compete at your official level, or one level below, not both.
• You may enter to ride one level below the level you have pointed up to.
• You must not have earned any showjumping performance points since 1st September 2014.
This is a pilot program to gauge the level of interest in these classes, and has the full support of HRCAV Jumping SubCommittee who are keen to fully engage members.
If the pilot is successful, there's plenty of scope to create a series of events across neighboring clubs, or have these classes included in all events across the state so everyone can benefit. We haven't yet thought up a suitable name so would appreciate some suggestions!
